9News

Earlier tonight, 9News showed part of the clip of Christmas lights synchronized to a song by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. (Alternate Link to Video)

They went on to say that the music that the lights went along with was played on a short-range radio frequency, so you could hear it in your car when you drove by. This was from last year, by the way.

It’s awesome that it got so much publicity. Usually things on the internet that become popular don’t get picked up by news sources, or at least not famous big ones. I was really surprised when I looked up and saw what I had seen online a while ago.

Check the video clip out, it’s awesome.

Second Trimester

Posted in school, winter by Jefftheman45 on the 27th of November, 2005 at 7:38pm

Today was the first day of the second trimester. Most of the day was actually introduction things, just like the first day of school.

I’m now in Food Fun and Gym; before I was in Woodworking and Health, respectively.

For Food Fun, we just got a handout informing us of the expectations, and we have to turn in a fee tomorrow. For Gym, we also got an expectation sheet. Then we did warmups, and played some game where you have to throw a ball to someone, then do it again and again to the same person. Eventually you want the same number of balls as people.

And then in L.A. we had writer’s workshop and also had to share a second trimester goal with the class.

The rest of the classes were the same as before the break. Except for U.S. Society. I now have Adam Keller in my class instead of Michelle Little. They traded.

The only homework…

I only had to read half of a book. Now it’s Sunday night, and school is tomorrow. I still have to read.

“April Morning” by Howard Fast.

It’s really boring so far; being about the Revolutionary War and stuff. I hope it picks up soon because it’s going to be tough to read it otherwise.

And the problem with assigned reading is that you really have to pay attention, because you’ll probably have to discuss it.

I guess I’d better get started.

“Monster Frenzy”

I have been playing a strange but awesome game called "Monster Frenzy". It's pretty cool, you have to catch fruit and give it to the monster that's the same color as the fruit. For example, a banana has to go to the yellow monster.

And if they get too unhappy, they eat you which means Game Over. You can download it here: Frenzy.zip

Snowboarding

Posted in Uncategorized by Jefftheman45 on the 24th of November, 2005 at 8:29pm

Today I went snowboarding at Eldora. We have season passes up there.

It was pretty fun, although there were only a few runs open. One of the runs was pure ice almost all the way down, and that's where I got hurt the worst. But for the most part it was snow, and I could board like usual.

Edit: I forgot to mention what the weather was like. Before lunch, it wasn't bad. A bit cold though toward noon. After lunch, it was windy and it was blowing snow at us on the lift. It was bitter cold, too. Even after taking a mid-afternoon break, I practically (and maybe actually) had frostbite on my toes.

Still though, it was very enjoyable overall, and I'm anxious to go again. And since I have a season snowboarding rental and, like I said, a season pass, I can go just about any time I want.

Thanksgiving Break

It's finally Thanksgiving break! No school for a week. Awesome. And the only homework that I have is to read half of some book for LA.

Okay, fine, I've been putting this off.

I finished this design in one night. And not only one night, but less than an hour.

So anyway, I hope you like it. I'm starting the blog from scratch.
